Nice to see a bunch of support for that gas station. I used to be a regular customer there until I got a car with a turbo and need to run premium. Those guys are the last original business left in the East Village and have endured plenty of hardship due to road closures and construction. Forcing them to leave, would be a shitty move.
When I used to be a customer, I was talking to one of the guys there about how the there didn't seem to be as many crackheads around. Guy told me that they spent years asking the City to do something to no avail. Once the East Village started to come together the cops had the area cleaned up in a couple of days.
