Hopefully the former coastguard site/Fundy Quay in Saint John will finally be announced soon! Very nice development!

Really? How is that the ugliest Canadian highrise?

I have a feeling most forumers would disagree with that sentiment.

Excellent! Quebec's answer to "La Defense".

Now, Lebaume's next challenge is to somehow transplant le complex G and and the Delta to Ste-Foy!

Pearl, Edmonton. Supposed to be 36 floors now instead of 35.

Within five years Atlantic Canada will have its first two 100 plus meter towers! Yayyy!
I'd consider both "construction" since they include substantial structural additions and increases in height. They're not just re-claddings or simple renovation jobs. In any case the most important part is that both TD and Fenwick are ugly and they should look at lot nicer when the work is completed.

Here is a picture of the TD crane. It shows how unusually narrow the tower is. I also find the mirrored glass cladding pretty unattractive, and the ground floor of the building isn't very good either.

Originally there was talk of the main King's Wharf tower starting in 2013. I am not sure if that's still the plan.

The thing was on hold forever! And when they finally got the leases they needed we lost a couple floors. Overall, I'm quite happy with the project though. Anything that can distract from its monstrous neighbour Place Bell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Place_Bell). Place Bell is actually a very high quality building filled with lawyers etc. but the ginormous box design is terrible.

It's also a large office tower despite being only 27 storeys tall. Scotia Centre in Calgary is about 50% taller but has only 2/3 the floor space.

27 floor boxes are pretty much the worst of both worlds. They're still overwhelming in scale, but not tall enough to be interesting. I don't think the height restrictions in Ottawa make a lot of sense in their current incarnation.

Regina has an impressive CBD for such a tiny city.
