I was downtown catching up with a friend in the forces who's back home in town for the holidays from Ontario, and I took a walk around at about 1am on the 31st waiting for my lift home, and took a jaunt down to the TD building to take a look at things, this is one rather interesting feature of building disassembly I noticed.. lol

There are several columns along Prince that were like that then, probably more so now. Even our buildings that aren't ugly red brick.. have ugly red brick lining on the inside

Oh my god... I have just had a flashback to about 1986 and Scoundrels bar, which used to be in the lower level of that building. I remember that red brick too well.

Cranes up now and looks good. When this is at full height and the boom is all the way up, it will be very tall. This will be interesting because I think there will be the potential for this to break the rampart rules, I wonder if the heritage crowd will bring this up.

Do you mean the crane or the building will break the rampart limits? If it's just the crane, then I don't think it matters (officially) since it's not a building. Which just illustrates how completely arbitrary a rule this is.

I think the crane might be visible from the grounds, not the building. I don't think the crane would officially break the rules or have any changes due to them, I'd just be curious to see if it might ruffle the feathers of our neurotic "Heritage" buffs.

Someone should do a new diagram for TD tower... and a mod should prolly change it to UC. As it's basically a structural reconstruction.

Unfortunately, there is no real category in the diagrams for reconstructions, etc., so an existing building drawing probably should remain the same until it's expansion is near completion. A building can only have one entry, and it seems it should be as it exists now because it's status is already "built". However, IMO, it could be submitted as a non-primary drawing until it's almost complete.

Other examples of this are Fenwick, and The Mix-345 Duckworth in St John's.
