The land between VW/Audi and the airport exit from Highway 15 however is airport owned, and is designated "airport services." I think this far more likely ( unless the hotel is built physically attached to the airport).

It could be built over the existing short term parking lot. The hotel lobby could open directly to the existing tunnel entrance.

Very true. It would be very much like the ALT Hotel in Halifax if they did so.

Ottawa too. Alt Toronto is a stop on the Pearson Link Train system. I wonder if it's worth noting that all existing Alt airport hotels are connected to the terminal in some way.

The newest construction site on Englehart (close to Champlain) will be Rally House Pickleball.

Retail Talk & Share photo

This indoor facility will include food and refreshments like The Bunker on Main Street. I think it will be very popular.

The signage includes a render, but, it is difficult to see. I might drive out there after work to see if I can get a better photo.

Here's a better shot of the render as posted on the signage:

I was at my dentist this morning and noticed that the Angie's area looks to be blocked/roped off. Are they already moving on demolition? Can anyone do a drive-by?

Those construction/traffic cones along Champlain in front of Angies have been there ever since they started the work on St-Laurent street and is related to that project.

Current status of the six storey apartment building currently under construction on Champlain next to PJC.

(Amico Construction - Facebook)

Four storeys down, two to go.

CCNB in Dieppe are looking towards the future

Last week CCNB Dieppe has posted a 89 page pdf on the facebook page, also for Bathurst campus too.
They are envisioning what the Dieppe campus will look like in 2055. Its mostly a concept plan and looks like they want to incorporate green spaces, green infrastructure/tech. I think this is a great idea.

The document is in French so I couldnt read it, and you could check it out here. https://ccnb.ca/wp-content/uploads/plan_maitre_dieppe.pdf

Dieppe approves 2026 budget, adopts $106M operating plan

Quote:
The public transit network will be enhanced, and the parks and green spaces plan will be implemented,” Melanson said.

He added that the city will renovate the Aquatic Centre, upgrade buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and invest in road and underground infrastructure. Preparations will also begin for Dieppe’s 75th anniversary in 2027.

Road projects planned for 2026 include:

Improvements to the Champlain–Acadie intersection
Replacement of water mains on Amirault Street from Dover to the southern limits of the municipality
Addition of trails along Champlain Street and other arteries
Realignment of Thomas Street
Continued work on the extension of Dieppe Boulevard

I have to wonder who goes to these places anymore. It must be the greasiest of bastards. The old myth of a Playboy type club is long gone, you wouldn't take your business clients to a place like that anymore.

Speaking of which, the Internet Archive has old videos of Playboy After Dark hosted by Hugh Hefner. It's not racy, it's the goings on in a nightclub setting around 1968-70. I find it an interesting concept for a show, there's nothing else like it. I wouldn't say it was good but I find it interesting.

You get to see some people before they became big: Pat Morita pre Arnold, Valerie Harper pre Rhoda. I don't know if she's in this one but in a few of them you see a pre bionic Lindsay Wagner hanging around Hugh when Barbi Benton wasn't on his arm.

Edit: I just saw Lindsay behind Lou Rawls at 14:45 and on

First phase of Origine Village in the Dieppe Blvd area is moving along.

Quest properties photo from Facebook, so this will disappear in a week or two

They've released the 2026 capital budget for the province yesterday, and one item was a new school for greater Moncton. They didn't say where, or what district, but the #1 priority was an anglophone k-12 school for Dieppe, which is what I am expecting. We should know in a couple of days.

It I'm right, they will immediately start the site selection process.

When was the last time a K-12 school was built, let alone an urban one?

They're building an anglophone k-12 in Shediac as we speak.

I imagine it has to do with servicing a minority population in a single large building. Anglophones are the minority in both Shediac and Dieppe.

Forgot about Shediac, but you'd think the Anglo population in Dieppe would be growing fast enough to justify a K-8 and a high school.

There already is a k-8 anglo school in Dieppe (Lou McNairn), but, it is overcrowded. This will decompress the situation. Right now Dieppe anglo high school aged students go to Moncton High School.

Dieppe's population is approaching 30,000, so, given the fact that between 25-30% of Dieppe's population is anglophone, the English speaking community in Dieppe is nearing 10,000. It is high time for a Dieppe anglophone high school.
