It was not. "Fort Albert" was renamed to "Fort Victoria" in honour of the Queen, who never (nor her family) even set foot in BC in their lives.

Sigh. If these are really that great, they would've been mentioned in Tripadvisor's list.
BTW, I also never said Queen Victoria named the city after herself.
