Everything went really well. Condo unit is in great shape, nothing major was wrong - it actually looked much better than I expected (with the colours and choices I made during the selection process). Wasn't sure what to expect so I kind of went in guarded - but everything turned out great!
Basically, the only thing that I had to mark was the paint in a few spots was not perfect, but I guess perfect is a relative term. A few drips on the molding and a few marks that look like you rubbed your shoulder up against it (a smudge mark is the best way I could describe it) so just went through and put tape on the spots. I say that is pretty minor, considering most people paint over the base white anyways and apparently they are going to basically go through the entire unit again and repaint those spots.
What I was really surprised about was how thick the windows were and the seal was so tight. I didn't notice any noise from Rideau St below at about 2pm with buses and trucks below (and yes I'm about midway up the building). Opened the windows and they were about literally 3 1/2 inches thick, so solid noise cancelling.
All appliances were hooked up and running and all taps/faucets/toilets worked properly etc ... So I'm really excited now to finally get in the place and get settled. I'll give a pat on the back for Claridge doing such a great job!
