The Independent hotel is @ 1475 Hugh Allan Dr adjacent to the Fairfield. (I'm not certain that it is independent, given that its located in the parking lot of a Marriott hotel)

Ya I can't see it being an independent hotel either. It's weird that's what they have on the building permit though. Must be a big secret

It's great to see Kamloops getting a new performing arts center but talk about overdue, the last one was built almost half a century ago

Agreed, very over due. Can't wait for this to get built and people can stop talking about it. It's been decade of bitching about the cost and if it's needed or not.

If you told me 10 years ago that we would have 6-7 projects going at the same time in 2026 on the Tranquille corridor. I don't think I would have believed it.

Seems like this might be the peak of construction for a bit. There are not that many projects in the pipeline at the moment.
