I think those who voice that the city needs to consider a growth / upgrade to recreational facilities do have a point - these dense new neighborhoods need to have attractive amenities to not end up becoming unpleasant places to live in the long run.

That being said, the "it's too tall" is really becoming quite tiresome. Why the shock and horror at 52 stories? I always repeat this fact, but if a building exceeds about 15 stories in height, it may as well extend to infinity, as that makes no practical difference in feel or street presence.
