I heard that bowl of anuses may have passed from this world, but another person told me he's still counting his money. the big orange dates to the 1950s, AFAIK.

There wasn't that much in Laval when I was born (late 60s)....there was Chomedy of course, and some suburbanization but the rest was mostly agricultural.

I’m guessing he’d be in his 80’s?

Laval switched from farming crops to harvesting human souls.

I recall watching its construction as a kid and thinking it was going to be a castle. Then it stalled with the exterior unfinished for a long period of time. I expected stone. Then came the pink stucco. It was my first major architectural (Ugly Canada) disappointment!

That streetview is outdated. They repainted the exterior white and charcoal and renovated the interior to be some weird airbnb style party pad. The past couple years they’ve put inflatable Halloween and Christmas decorations all over the roof to try and get attention. Not sure if it’s sold.

The fact that the terminating vista of that road is Clockzilla reinforces its dominion over Laval. Rather than simply being an ugly product of its’ environment, it appears the city was shaped around the creature’s malignant life force. Almost like Pennywise the Clown in Derry. Perhaps Eddy was less of an architect, and more of a Renfield.

PS it’s not often you see the back side. Clockzilla has a hunchback.
