The fact that the terminating vista of that road is Clockzilla reinforces its dominion over Laval. Rather than simply being an ugly product of its’ environment, it appears the city was shaped around the creature’s malignant life force. Almost like Pennywise the Clown in Derry. Perhaps Eddy was less of an architect, and more of a Renfield.
PS it’s not often you see the back side. Clockzilla has a hunchback.
