Dartmouth's okayest highrise.

I don't love this trend toward black and white buildings, but it'll probably continue to shift and these will just be a part of the mix, like 80s pomo or 70s concrete towers. The building has some urban appeal being near the bridge.

I lost it now but I saw an impressive shot from below the bridge showing an old warehouse on the Dartmouth side. It had a great gritty urban aesthetic to it. I think this bridge neighbourhood will have a unique look. And now that I think about urban bridges, this might be the most urban suspension bridge in Canada. The Lions Gate in Vancouver is beautiful but it's a park on one side and more highway-like infrastructure on the other.

Thanks for the pics!

I think it’s not too bad, actually, although I’m not a fan of the large expanse of black - maybe a lighter colour with less contrast would not make it look so stark.

As to the overall design, I think it gives off a bit of a mid 20th century vibe which IMHO blends in well with the setting next to the bridge.

Another sign of Dartmouth excellence!

I actually really like this one in person; I feel like the photos don't do it justice. The design is very cohesive and has a lot of nice little details when you look closely.

While I mostly concur, I think the eastern elevation is pretty bland and unappealing. Three out of four ain't bad, though.

It's definitely a 3/4 situation, but also feels weirdly like this building was always there?

Like it has a mid twentieth century vibe?
