Yeah I personally don’t see the giant ~500km stretch between Kenora and Kakabeka Falls getting twinned for a very long time. There is priority being given to the sections between the border and Kenora, along with the existing twinning efforts between Thunder Bay and Nipigon, and now the new addition of the segment between Thunder Bay and Kakabeka Falls. I could see a twinning of the Kenora Bypass eventually entering the planning phase in the near future, but not until after the Border-Kenora and Thunder Bay-Nipigon sections are complete, which will be post-2030.

The natural next step after that in my view will be finishing HWY 400 to Sudbury, and working on the twinning of HWY 17 between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie.
