The 6 lanes on the 401 ends at KM 479.5 just east of Cobourg (other than the orphaned 12 ~ 13 km through Kingston. Planning is underway for bridging that gap, but it will be a while.
Ps: If Highway 7 remains busy between Madoc and Perth even after 401 gets 6 lanes, HSR should be the solution…
