And then you have those panels on the south face which are very visibly mismatched with the surrounding materials. I'm just really hope what we're seeing in the base will get cleaned up or polished or something, as it in its current state just seems to lack the texture and definition that the latest renderings showed.

They are precast concrete made north of Seattle. I agree granite, like across the street on Wells Fargo building would have given the building a better look. Right now it looks like drying out grey concrete. A cheap look, but lets wait and see what the bottom five floors will look finished.
The only granite I see is the black granite blocks on the 6th floor.
