Kemptville

I was looking just North of Kemptville on Google maps,
and it was strange to compare the densities of
an old neighborhood and a nearby new neighborhood.
(last 2 screenshots at same scale)

The difference in tree cover between different areas of the old neighbourhood is interesting.

Density is based on whether services (water and sewer) were available. Very large lots were needed when wells and septic beds were used. My neighbourhood started out this way. In fact, my neighbours house remains unconnected to city services.
