Dar Global announces Trump International Hotel and Tower in Dubai; 350m-high skyscraper will have world’s highest pool

Dar Global and The Trump Organisation have announced the launch of Trump International Hotel and Tower, Dubai.

The landmark project marks the Middle East’s first and only Trump International Hotel and Tower and represents the fifth collaboration between Dar Global and the Trump Organisation.

The new development will be located along Sheikh Zayed road at the entrance of Downtown Dubai with exclusive views to Burj Khalifa and the Arabian Sea.

Trump International Hotel and Tower will occupy 80 floors and reach 350m high, with hospitality offerings comprising exquisite rooms and suites, private lounges, personalised service, and world-class amenities for guests.

With sweeping views of the Burj Khalifa, the property will feature an exclusive resort-style pool dedicated to residents only.

Crowning the Tower will be two distinctive penthouses with sky pools in Dubai.

Inspired by the Trump Tower Penthouse on New York’s 5th Avenue, the duplexes boast floor-to-ceiling windows that capture sweeping views of the city skyline.

In terms of its lavish extras, the 80-story property — which is the Trump Organization’s first high-rise in Dubai, and set to rise more than 1,100 feet — will be capped with the highest pool in the world. It’s expected to be completed in December 2031.

.....the skyscraper will have one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments — while those duplex penthouses will come with four bedrooms. The branded hotel will be a five-star stay. Beyond the sea, the building will also offer views of the Burj Khalifa, which is home to the “Sky Palace” penthouse.

The Dubai edifice will also have a private club for members called The Trump.

Looks like any other 1000+ skyscraper in Dubai..... Would be more impressed if there was a unique architectural approach that sets this apart from everything else there.

By both Dubai and Trump standards, this building isn't that gaudy at all. Seems relatively restrained to me. The square on the top references some of the towers further up on Sheikh Zayed Road that were built in the early 2000's. Not half bad, if you ask me.

It's more gaudy to it than just the design.

It looks like a typical investor box - this is very very restrained for Dubai. I like the over the top, big crown, which is boring but does reference the nearby area to a degree.

I question the capacity to enjoy being on a balcony 300 metres above the desert, especially when there's a sandstorm, but hey, who knows if this will even be 50% occupied, and not just a vanity hotel for people to say they've stayed in the Dubai Trump.

The Trumps aren't funding it, Dar Global is. The Trumps are essentially just selling their name brand.

A few weeks ago I visited Dubai and spent one night at Carlton Downtown Hotel which is the rightmost building in the image above. I quite enjoyed looking at those huge skyscrapers across the massive highway, and in general was more impressed by Dubai in person than I had expected from photos. I think this supertall will be a very nice addition to the skyline in this district.

Yeah, I was going to point out the same thing, I wouldn’t pay millions in licensing fees for the Trump brand nowadays (normally, anything controversial is a big no no in marketing, let alone paying for it!)
