I hope so too. If this pans out to expectations, this will be huge for the Triad, moreso than having a Boeing or Airbus factory.
Here are some key details
The Hub: A 108,000-square-foot, three-story corporate headquarters undergoing a major collaborative design renovation by the architecture firm Cline
Innovation facilities: The sprawling campus will also include facilities for innovation, research/design.
Manufacturing Complex: The scale of the project is significant. The facility will include about 8 million square feet of manufacturing and final assembly space across more than 600 acres, making it one of the largest advanced aerospace manufacturing facilities in North America. An expansive assembly space (the production buildings alone) larger than Disney World's Magic Kingdom, designed to produce up to 20 of its Z4 blended-wing-body commercial jets per month. The factory will also produce a military version for the U.S government.
Integration Test Facility: A specialized center where major aircraft systems will be verified and tested before the planes reach the runway
Campus Experience Features: Miles of walking paths, green spaces, and water features integrated with the landscape to enhance employee well-being. JetZero is also open to the possibility of covering the roof completely with solar panels creating clean green energy.
I didn't realize it at first but JetZero will also occupy land across the taxiway / I-73 as well. This is a massive project.
Based on a flythrough video the observation tower appears to be open to the public. Hopefully they'll include a restaurant or at least a Starbucks up there.
