The site is a triangular, 71,350 SF piece of land at 8451 Bridgeport Road. The proposed uses include general retail, restaurant, hotel and office. The plan includes:

A total density of 3.0 FAR (215,000 SF)
Three towers of 9, 12 (office) and 14-storeys (hotel) with a common five-storey podium including retail
Approximately 100 hotel rooms (Opus Hotel, managed by Trilogy)

Thanks for making the thread.

The hotel component is/was supposed to be an Opus Hotel (Like the Yaletown one) - not sure if that's still planned or not.

When this area is filled out in the future, the view below when landing in YVR would be pretty amazing by being able to see streets teeming with people, traffic, shops, hotels, etc. Let's hope the International Trade Centre as the catalyst and anchor for the growth of this neighbourhood. Bright times ahead.

Looks like they are lagging on the eastern building (is that the hotel?)
I wonder if Opus Hotel pulled out?

Could be design coordination issues between the developer and hotelier as well. Given the growth of YVR a hotel here would do well, though I'm not sure a boutique like opus is the best style.

I'm with you on that. How can this location justify such a rarified market sub-segment?

I see the developer recently made China's most wanted list of corruption suspects:

They've partnered with a British hotelier - which will finance the OPUS @ Versante
