The scale of the building is so much smaller, that this one should move (relatively) quickly... it's not going to do enough to help the look of the area until they build the blocks fronting on to Booth, though.

Didn't have time to stop for a photo but the main body of Fusion has been raised to approximately 3 or 4 storeys above ground!

Wow, that is fast for a Claridge project. They usually dig the hole then wait two years.

Small but complicated. 3 level garage but not all of it underground thanks to the way the site slopes. Doesn't take long to place 6 and 8 storey towers though. No clue about the wood frame.

Because Claridge projects are usually self-funded, they usually break ground early to increase the momentum and increase sales.
Considering they have little to no sales at Fusion, I wonder why they decided to move forward so early.

rakerman's photo was taken three weeks ago; there's definitely 7 floors done now, but I'll step back a bit from my last comment: it's hard to tell for sure from my angle whether they're at the 8th floor or the mechanical penthouse.

I dropped by the sales centre this weekend and had a look around out of curiosity. I think kevinbottawa's photo in the previous post shows all eight floors on the tower portion - I think, according to the plans, it seems to be topped out, apart from the mechanical/terrace on the 9th.

Anyway, one thing of interest was the colour of brick. I asked if it was going to have the same colour of brick as the existing phase 1 + 2 buildings. The sales person gave a resounding "no". On the wall of the presentation centre they have a rough sample of what the brick colour will look like - it's a light beige this time - definitely less offensive.

It looks like, according to the area master plan, they plan on having two more rectangular blocks of condos/towns directly west of Fusion. The section of land north of these two lots (and west of Phase 1 + 2) is apparently owned by NCC and nothing is in the works as of yet (as far as I/they know).
