I came back from a wedding in Chicago a few days ago and it was an unforgettable experience. It was my first time there... What a beautiful city!
We left Montreal very early in the morning on the 17th. We crossed the border early in the afternoon in Sarnia.
Lake Huron
Entering Michigan!!!
June 18th, first full day in Chicago.
Brought some clothes and all kind of stuff (less expensive than here)
One of the shopping malls
Of course, the American flag had to be the tallest thing out there.
CANADIAN TRAIN!
Heading downtown for supper with the future couple and their respective families. The traffic was HORRIBLE!!!
Congrats to the Blackhawks
Had no idea there was a train in the middle of the highway
There was a HUGE thunderstorm that day. Lots of damage especially in the downtown area. Wind gusts up to 70 mph (112 km/h). That was one of the biggest storm I have ever experienced. The restaurant had no electricity so we had to go in another.
The damage
Gorgeous Willis Tower
The restaurent was called "Athena" (See the flag)
Same spot, at night. Bad picture because it started pouring again. + I have to get a better camera.
June 19th, wedding day!!!
First of all, coffee on the 96th floor with some friends. Then wedding...
