8th&Main Tower

Steel going up for corner glass tower. When the spire is added, that will be it for the height.

8th&Main Tower

This picture of the corner steel, and with the spire added will definitly make it taller than US Bank building.

The height is confusing, guess we will have to see the finished product. Just one or two more floors would have made a difference! It is all economics, I guess. It will still be a great addition.

Ya, the height really does seem to play tricks on your eyes. Even with the spire I feel the US Bank tower will be the dominant building in the skyline. Maybe the design of the US Bank tower makes it feel/seem/look taller than it is??

At any rate, glad the hole is gone!

Doesn't the US Bank tower sit on elevated ground compared to the buildings around it? I know I have to climb a few steps to get to the first level.

I was going to mention that awhile back. The south side has a large man made like hill where the miner's statue is. But, the incline is not very noticeable from the north side of the building. Which seems flat other than a small grass mound that is elevated with some concrete planters and a small stretch of irises, I’m pretty sure though that without the mound of dirt that the US Bank building is sitting on, it would be noticeably smaller then 8th & Main by a few feet.

not only that, but keep in mind that the zion's bank tower sits in...

The Aspen looks so awesome. Too bad it doesn't look like that on the side everyone sees!

I just ate a quick taco at Pollo Rey and it was quite nice to sit outside the patio and watch the progress of the building. Being on those 8th St patios will be even cooler once it's complete.

I actually caught them having a lunch break a week ago, and having some sort of meeting a few days ago.
