Very different angle. Dosent look wuite as imposing as the skyline from the other side. More comparable to Edmonton in this one,

It’s a different view that took me a second to place. Looks like a drone shot from above St. Mary’s cemetery and Roxboro park. It looks flat but that’s actually a big hill and a river valley. I agree this angle makes the skyline less imposing. What’s crazy to me though is how far it stretches East and West now. Also cool to see the new convention centre on the right edge.

What Calgary needs is a supertall to stand out above the rest. Something like Stantec. Brookfield Place looks the same height as the Bow here.

For sure, Calgary needs a few supertalls. It's starting to look somewhat table top at the moment.

Love the layering here.

Calgary has a great tapered shape. A 330 metre tall "Stantec" would ruin it, in my humblest opinion.

Stantec is 49 metres short of being a Supertall, and is only 4 metres taller than Brookfield Place, which is only 11 metres taller than the Bow. Stantec Tower would just mesh in with the tabletop in Calgary. What Calgary needs is an ACTUAL Supertall of 300m.

I meant like the effect that Stantec has on Edmonton’s skyline being so much taller. Calgary definitely needs an actual supertall to stand out from the 700-800 foot cluster of Suncor, Telus Sky, BP and the Bow.

I don’t see it. Beside, every skyline changes depending on the angle.

One 300 metre tower right in the middle would add to the skyline. A supertall equivalent to Stantec would look dumb. A few supertalls has the potential for another tabletop eventhough downtown Calgary has 400 high rises.

Agree that a super-tall in Calgary would be a nice punctuation mark ... but need to be a heck of a lot better than Stantec.

Already one Foster built there... get in touch with Sir Norman about a residential super-tall.

I meant Stantec's dominant stature which would be around 330 metres.

The fascination with Foster & Partners. They are like a KPF or SOM. Will deliver a good product. Don't expect any originality. (due to the sheer number of projects they have)
