Still one more floor to go!

The alternating two floor squares end in a pair at the top, you can see how the last floor that is poured in the above image needs the 25th floor to complete it's square.

Counting floors on the render, you might be right.
The other day I watched the crane lift something and the block had to go up all the way to the arm. Didn't look like they could fit another floor in there.

I also would like to point out that this building is coming out closer to render than....anything ever in Ottawa? We are so accustomed to bait & switch, especially on the glazing and cladding. This is a real treat.

The accuracy of zibi renders is incredible, watching the island park take shape was awesome, seeing it line up perfectly with the renders.

It's a real breath of fresh air compared to the 'Classic Ottawa floor to ceiling glass curtain walls in every render that end up being 70% teal spandrel with 30% windows'. This render shows the spandrel panel/window proportions exactly, so we knew exactly what to expect.

I'm going to pile on here and say this building looks awesome! Why can't all our projects be like this? Zibi is going to be such a cool central neighbourhood when all is said and done.

Zibi released its One Planet Reports for anyone interested
https://zibi.ca/zibi-canadas-only-one-planet-living-community-releases-2022-report-card/

Here's what they say about what is coming in 2023. They talk about construction starting this year on the second tower on the Ontario side (Block 204). I have to say, I wasnt expecting this one to start so soon but i'm really excited for it.

Quote:
LOOKING AHEAD Zibi looks forward to the opening of Tesasini Park, giving long overdue access to a piece of shoreline that has been inaccessible for decades. Furthermore, with Tesasini’s pathways complete, as well as the bridge work on Eddy/Booth Street coming to a close, the Zibi community and the greater community will finally get to take full advantage of the connectivity the project has provided. There is an exciting list of events and workshops already planned for 2023, including a first-annual Repair Cafe, a second-annual Street Market and a winter version of the popular beer fest, “Festibiere”. Following some reflection on Zibi’s Indigenous engagement commitments and lack of documentation, a novel framework, an Indigenous Participation Plan, will be drafted that will elaborate on how Zibi plans to action said commitments. This plan will also elicit annual reports to allow for further reflection and knowledge sharing. The Zibi community will grow even more in 2023 as Block 206 begins to welcome residents. Block 206 is particularly unique as it has affordable units, regular units, and co-living floors, all in one building. Construction will also begin on Block 204, yet another highrise residential rental building. Finally, Zibi will be running on near-zero carbon energy in 2023 as the final pipes are installed to complete the loop. The future at Zibi is exciting and green as the community continues to grow and take shape!

I couldn't have asked for better news at Zibi! This second high density block is really crucial to bringing the place to life.

Is block 204 commercial with residential? Perhaps it has the wrong colour code in the report? (Page 6 of 42). I see multiple times they state high tower residential. Edit: found my own answer: Building Size: 154,500 SF (Residential) / 9,200 SF (Retail)

Also, how tall are the 201 and 202?

O2 is not turning out how we expected at all, it's just more cheap looking charcoal and beige brick veneer panels.

Would love to be sitting on the balcony and hear the roar of the water.

You'd be sitting in an awfully small chair on those balconies

The pre-topping-out upkeep of this one is considerably better than 1960 Scott is more than a year after it was built as well! Bonus!

Too bad our river and waterways always look darker and more brown in nature than the waters of Lake Ontario in Toronto which tend to look more crisp and blue.

In the summer, it looks quite nice. I'd say Ottawa might very well have the most impressive river of any Canadian City.

I'd say second only to Quebec City.
