I mean, what I said was
"mix authentic industrial heritage with cutting-edge modern architecture". Not sure how you get "fake old warehouse" from that. That's exactly what I'm arguing against.
Anyway, most new building in Fulton Market have to address the industrial heritage because of the design guidelines in the landmark district. We've seen lots of different approaches to that, some are successful and some are cheesy, but we're never gonna get pure St Regis or BMO style modernism along Fulton/Randolph/Lake directly. A few blocks away though, it's anything-goes. 360 N Green is not in the landmark district and it's gonna be uber-sleek modernism.
