Is that to say the gas bar will open well before the store? I mean, I don't see why not, the gas bar isn't dependent on a store even being there. Would be nice if the "slowest fucking overpass ever built" was finished by then lol.

Lol most likely seeing as unlike canadian tire gas or esso circle k. There is no operating manager so it's pure profit for costco seeing as they get their gas from the US not from imperial oil or shell in sarnia

Costco foundation has been going in over the course of the week. Have only seen from the 401, might try to get a better look over the weekend when construction presumably won't be going on.

Roadway concrete curbs have been installed now. Grading is done so could see base coat of asphalt soon for road thru the center.

Does the new road connect to Roxburgh (the road that services the current Costco) or Dingman?

It will be the extension of Roxburgh from the old Costco down to Dingman and meets up with that road that Orgaworld is on (as far as I can tell, that road doesn't have a name and all the businesses on it have Wellington Rd S addresses). I haven't been by in a couple weeks, and couldn't tell how far off Dingman that the new curbs extend. I don't imagine they wrap all the way around to the old Costco yet though.

Couple photos of the foundation work at Costco. Loading dock area on the southeast corner of the building. I would estimate 2/3 to 3/4 of the foundation is poured now. Also noticed that the poured curbs for the Roxburgh Rd extension do in fact run from Dingman all the way around to the end of existing Roxburgh Rd at the old Costco.

Costco has officially listed the new location under their "Locations Coming Soon" page. As mentioned here, it's set to open in November.

Base asphalt coat is now installed on the roadway thru the site. However stops short of joining the existing roadway just west of the current Costco. Looks like they will keep it closed until ready to open the new store location. They might also be planning to repair the existing road at that time as it is in bad shape from the transport trucks that service the current store.

Looks like Costco is going to have a sloped roof. Was just on google seeing if I can find any images if that is a new style but wasn't able to come up with anything.

Took a tour by Costco Saturday evening. Surprised the construction road wasn't blocked off, so I went right up to the store. Also noticed that most of the front parking lot where the roof trusses are laid out is paved.

A few key points from the article:
- As mentioned here, will open in November
- New building will be 160,000 square feet (40k sq feet larger than the existing building) and have a gas bar
- City staff say Dingman will be widened "in the future" (official city plans say 2023, hope it doesn't get deferred)
- Roxburgh Road will connect to the new road currently being built (which will essentially extend Roxburgh all the way to Dingman)
- Announcements will come next summer or next fall regarding plans for the existing Costco building

I have not been in the area recently, but I do hope at least the developer will construct a left turn lane on Dingman into the new Costco as an interim measure, even though the road will be reconstructed hopefully soon

It's hard to tell with the state Dingman currently is in, but I don't think there will be a turning lane at this time. If I'm down there again this weekend, I'll try to see better. I'm not sure that Dingman will be insanely busy coming from the west anyway, I think most of the Costco traffic will come in from Wellington, either on Dingman or Roxburgh.

As for Dingman, they were pouring the concrete guard rails on the overpass the last couple days. Still no sign of paving, so looks like still a couple weeks until this opens. Brutal how long this has taken.

Crews out hard at work on a Sunday. They are pretty close to having all the structural steel up. Parking lot on the west side is also being graded out. Didn't see any sign of the gas bar being started yet that I could see. Dingman does look like it could be wide enough to have a left turn from the west at Roxburgh. Not sure why they aren't widening it right now while the bridge is closed but I guess there is only so much roadwork that can be done at a time.

They were paving the Roxbury Rd connection to the new retail center today which will open up the access to the site.

Well the old building has major leak issues so maybe this is their fix for it?

Also wonder how discombobulated the parking lot here will be. & If they add bollards all around.

Bollards are really needed. You never know when Ruth Burger is driving around the parking lot.
