yeah the site next to where we are was a furniture dumping ground most of last summer, there were couches, mattresses, tables, chairs etc just plunked down. It was eventually cleared up. A

618 Carnarvon Street, New Westminster. This one's interesting in that part of it is being built over the SkyTrain line.

Thanks!
Looks like the deck over the guideway is complete (the beige painted facade with the fake(?) windows).

Here's the plan for the townhouses over the SkyTrain guideway portal:

Now we're logging!

This is why they put up the fence at Glen&Pine.

ah, sad to see the trees go but that's progress. I can't believe people still live in houses in that area too.

I wonder if future townhouse residents can hear rumbles or screeches under their feet now and then post-occupancy.

Glad to see this will be one of the tallest in New West after completion.

I was just about to post about this. The lots cleared now. Sad to see the trees gone but hopefully they'll start construction soon on the Pine & Glenn towers. It'd include the tallest building in the downtown Coquitlam area.

I didn't remember the Glen+Pine towers being 50 floors. Pretty incredible height for the area.

In my opinion yeah, but it should include Port Moody and Port Coquitlam. Just makes sense to group the tri-cities together.

I was going to suggest the same.

Even the thread title seems a bit off now with respect to current developments in the tri-cities, 'Suburban Updates' makes me think of new SFD subdivisions and schools in some leafy burb somewhere, it doesn't really imply clusters of 50-story high rise buildings along a skytrain line. Plus it kind of gives off a stereotypical Vancouverite, 'not sure what if anything exists past Boundary Road, thinks Port Moody and Pitt Meadows are in the same place, might even actually be the same place, might as well lump it all together' kind of vibe.

Do you mean SOCO?

https://anthemproperties.com/properties/319-north-road/

I don't recall seeing a specific thread for this one, but it seems like a pretty big project (2,189 homes, seven towers plus a rental building). Can't say I would want to live in that spot, but presumably plenty other people will . It is convenient to a lot of things, for sure, I just wouldn't like the noise.

i much prefer seafoam green over this baby blue spandrel that's gotten popular of late. At least the former can relate better to the glass and the palette of the coastal landscape

Yep, that would certainly be a busy spot. Right between two highways and a skytrain line. Pretty great location amenity and transit wise though.

Update on this site: they're putting all the cut down trees towards the corners of the site. It looks like they might be preparing it.

Edit: why do I have such trouble with image imbeds sometimes? I do it exactly the same as on my other posts but it doesn't imbed in the post.

I'll just drop a link to the post here. https://imgur.com/a/Bt05f2h
