Ya nvm I got their actual demands rather than the DailyHive article... most of these are a bit out to lunch:
Our mitigation plan focuses on three critical areas:
1. Traffic management
Traffic management respecting school pick-up/drop-off zones
Station pick-up/drop-off relocated to SE corner of Arbutus/Broadway
Widened sidewalks on Arbutus
Re-establish left turn to Yew street from (East Bound) Broadway
2. School safety and security
Community Policing Centre in vicinity of school
Extra lighting and security on school property
Lighting for Arbutus greenway and Delamont Park]
Relocation of Liquor store on Broadway
3. Health and injury prevention
Procurement of electric buses or adoption of other diesel-avoidance options
Pedestrian safety barrier along Arbutus
Additional HVAC filters for school
Barrier, sound-proof barriers at school and station
Traffic calming: speed bumps, raised crosswalks, controlled lights
Crossing guards during construction period
