The school was there first.

There are legitimate concerns around the bus loop being that close to a school crossing. And having lived next to a construction site in the past I assure you noise and dust are definite issues. That said, I doubt they will win.

Because the construction literally drove away customers. By contrast, it's not stopping the kids from learning, at least not any more than the pandemic restrictions are.

Looks fairly level.. there isn't much of a ramp of new pavement from the crosswalk to the new deck.

Looks very impressive and smooth. I had pictured some temporary decking that would be rough on tires and suspensions.

What is the maximum rise though? Ten feet? Six? Two? From the picture, it looks so minimal that it almost begs the question of "why even". Maybe the picture is deceptive.

Apologies if I'm unclear. It was my uneducated understanding that the deck is necessary to keep the road open while constructing stations underneath. I'd perhaps mistakenly surmised that the heights of the deck would be significant in order to permit street level access underneath, i.e. allow workers space under the deck to work while the road is deconstructed and to provide excavation access.

Perhaps the engineering is different than I'd assumed.
