They played hard enough!

They just ran into a monster named Giannis! With the entire west having their stars return the Sun's could easily finish 4th next year in the Pacific Division.
This was probably their best shot ever to make it but Giannis was too big of an obstacle. Plus Paul might leave as he wants 100 mil for 3 years and I doubt the Sun's (correctly) will give it to him. He should stay and pick up his guaranteed 42 million and give it one more shot in Phoenix.

I don't know about a curse but the Suns I believe are the second oldest team that haven't won a championship. Don't know if the Sacramento/Kansas City Kings/Cincinnati Royals have won. I think the Hawks won one in St. Louis.

Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets - have not won titles.

Also worthy of note up until the time Sarver brought the team the Sun's had the best overall lifetime winning percentage of any pro team in any sport who had not won a title.

Yep, and prior to our drought we made 29 playoff appearances in 43 years. 19 of which were 50+ win seasons.

I was interested in how the new sports books were going to work. The article states the the FanDuel site at Footprint Center will be open for the start of the NFL Season. It will be open year round. It will be interesting to see how busy they are. Especially with the Dbacks opening a sport book in the restaurant on the Paseo after the 1st of the year.

No max extension for Deandre Ayton. This could potentially be a huge mistake by Sarver.

He'l be a restricted free agent, meaning the Suns can match any offer...so they get first dibs in a sense. Of course if Ayton isnt happy and wants out, they would probably let him go.

I don't know what it is about Ayton, but he doesn't strike me as a super star and doesn't feel like a #1 overall pick...I assume Suns ownership feel the same.

Well, I am not sure what gonna do for him. Guess he have wait for next summer 2022. If he signs his contract extension. Right now, he will negotiation. Hopefully if he stays at Suns for another years or so. We won't know for sure.

Uh-oh! Suns owner Robert Sarver is a big trouble. They could removed him immediately.

This is huge. The allegations go on and on and on and are extremely detailed. Hopefully this will be the end of Sarver as the Suns owner.

Allegations of racism and misogyny within the Phoenix Suns: Inside Robert Sarver's 17-year tenure as owner

ON THE EVENING of Oct. 30, 2016, at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix, Earl Watson, in just his third game as the Suns' head coach, faced a tall task: beat the powerhouse Golden State Warriors.

The young Phoenix Suns team had been toiling at the bottom of the NBA's standings for years, missing the playoffs for six straight seasons while churning through head coaches. Watson was the fourth in as many years. Still, the Suns were playing the eventual NBA champions close, even leading by 13 in the first half. But it didn't last. The Warriors took control in the fourth quarter and cemented a 106-100 win, dropping the Suns to 0-3.

Big game for the Suns tonight. Good test to see if they're for reals.

They're for real. So are the Warriors. The winner of this game will be the kings of the first quarter of the season in the NBA. But the loser is still for real and both will be in the playoffs as a high seed.

I went to my first Suns game last week since the arena renovation. It was awesome.

Whoever wins will definitely be on the recipient of some hot takes! Probably be crowned championship favorites.

We play GS again on Friday as well. But no matter what we never get the love from the national media. If we win they’ll say it’s cause Klay Thompson wasn’t playing.
