I really appreciate what Midtown is morphing into - a livable, walkable, diverse neighborhood with enough street activity to keep it from feeling like a 9-to-5ish district.
I plan to sell my bungalow within a decade, retire, ditch the car and move to a highrise in Midtown and live the city life until I'm dead and gone.
The district is the best urban experience Atlanta has to offer at this point, but downtown is really not that far behind. It just needs more cohesion IMHO.
