2020 shipping season:
- 649 ships; 571 in Hamilton, 78 in Oshawa
- 10.6 million tonnes of cargo; 9.9 million through Hamilton, 672 thousand tonnes through Oshawa
$21+ million in projects underway in Hamilton:
- Pier 15: Fluke Transportation nearing completion of a 56,000 sq.ft expansion of a new warehouse facility
- Piers 12 and 14: modernization/expansion of the Federal Marine Terminals facility (incl. rebuilding dock walls, a new 40,000 sq.ft warehouse, new rail connection to Pier 15, resurfacing and upgrading of piers, roads, and environmental features)
Oshawa: first full season of operation of a new grain terminal
Launch of Niagara Ports: development of a 200-acre multimodal hub in Thorold; plan is a corridor of industrial hubs along the Welland Canal
