I don't care much about large houses either, but quite often it is a case of jealousy. It's human nature for a certain percentage of people to be jealous of someone with lots of money, fancy cars, large houses, etc... I have a few friends who are left winger types that constantly put down anyone or anything involving riches. Sometimes I think it's those people who are compensating.
