Maybe we can get a video of you flying one for the first time, I'm pretty sure you're not going to be any better than Daemon.

These are actually great photos without the blurriness. A tripod would make all the difference.

A drone would be amazing! We could really use some photos of the roofs of these single family houses.

It must happen a lot. Some of the new users on SRC have mentioned they couldn't get accounts registered at SSP.

If you tried to re-register, it would say the e-mail was in use already but it finally went through using a fourth e-mail account. So frustrating.

I am currently installing cabinets in a new condominium development just south of 17th Avenue SW on 7th Street called Switch/bloc and while it's being applauded for it's innovative design, the individual units come with some interesting quirks.

Things like walk-in closets the are long and narrow, not even 3 feet wide but over 10 feet long. A set of shelves would make these storage closets almost unusable. Other things like a half bath that has a sink that I can't even fit both of my hands into. Kitchen cabinets, uppers are over 30 inches above the lowers which puts the bottom level of the upper cabinets at about 65 inches above the floor. Secondcshelfbiscxat 75 inches and the top shelf at 85 inches.

Probably the oddest feature is every suite has a secondary entrance, the odd thing is that this secondary entrance may be in the ensuite bathroom or a bedroom. Also, the main entrance for half of the suites is on the floor where the bedrooms are - another odd quirk.

Those into more big houses on Crescent Road may be interested in this:

Two combined lots with a development permit application for a SFH:

722 and 716 Crescent Road NW. No details other than that on the development map yet though.

Depending on how they use the combined lot we could see a fair size house. Daemon will have to expand his territory a few blocks to cover the construction when it starts.

Just want to add that the brick house looks nice--it has character. The house next to it looks out of place.

Eesh - yeah that brick house is a beaut.

Yes, that would be a massive combined lot, and the homes would have been a pretty penny to have picked up.

[EDIT - correcting some erroneous data]

The brick home was last transferred in June for $2.8M, and the ugly one last June for $2.3M. Brick one is currently assessed at $2.68M and the ugly one at $1.64M (the sale of the ugly one was a real deal for the seller!). The new larger lot brings this property up to the same approx. size of its two neighbours. With over $5M sunk just into obtaining the properties being demolished, would expect a home in the final value range of $10M+.

The house next to it is a 1927 house that has been 'updated' to try to make it look modern, which tends to not work very well.

Maybe at the time it looked good but unfortunately for the owner "modern" always changes. Better to go with something that always looks good if you can afford it.
