Noticed some censored locations on Google Streetview on Briarcliffe Dr https://www.google.ca/maps/@45.4582614,-...PL6c7sAtsmnOg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1 - is there anything interesting at this site? The overhead views on Google Earth aren't censored and they just seem to be houses - perhaps some ambassador's residence or something?
Interesting - is that an ambassador's residence or something also? The view on Google Earth is relatively-clear: I don't see a flag in the front, but there's a pool in the backyard, and the house itself doesn't look that different from the others in the neighbourhood.
I learn so much from this board. I took a picture of the adjacent school because it was in a bright sunny break and all around was in deep shadow. Low and behold the Streisand Effect sets in and I have this house. Never would have given the area a second look if it hadn't been for that sunny break.
You can request your house or car to be blurred. There is "Report a problem" link on the bottom for that. Not sure if you need to confirm it somehow afterwards or what.
Anyone can have their property blurred out. I asked google to do this years ago because they didn't blur out the license plate on my car in my driveway. In response, they blurred out most of the back of the car!
It's actually possible to find these by looking at the map - streets that you can do Streetview are marked with a blue line. Just look for ones where there's a break in the blue line, and it could be a censored site.
