OCAC Hall (50-54 Bell St) | 11.5m | 3fl | Proposed

The Ottawa Chinese Alliance Church (OCAC) is proposing to demolish 2 dwellings at 50 and 54 Bell Street and replace them with a new one-storey plus mezzanine place of worship with underground parking. This new building is to be linked to the existing place of worship at 22 Eccles Street via a raised walkway at the rear of the site.

That thing is a world of ugly.
The real sad thing is, it's an improvement over what's there currently.
I'm not going to say the building is the Taj Mahal, but perhaps the program used to create the rendering is a little outdated.

This development proposal has been updated, and so have the renderings:

The Ottawa Chinese Alliance Church is proposing to build a two-storey institutional building containing a gymnasium and several multi-purpose rooms with parking located underground.

The blank walls aren't on the street, so I don't see a big concern; they can be covered by future development on the adjacent properties.

IIRC the concerns with this development had to do with a proposed blank wall along Bell St, but that seems to have been improved significantly with the redesign.
