I wish I could come! Looks like it's going to be awesome! Your downtown looks very dense.

Wow! I knew it was going to be a party, but man it was a lot bigger than I was expecting. The atmosphere was incredible. Way to go Gardner Co.!

Great party...fireworks and Main Street was packed. Like the spire changing colors, and color lighting on the side of the building.
Goo Goo Dolls rocked the buildings!!!

Early crowd

Flatbread

Went Sunday, and they did a great job on their layout.
Great food and a full bar.

I know, I am posting a lot of photos of views of the new tower I shot today, but it is the weekend, , and I will remove most of them after the weekend

This finial does a great job at hiding the hideous communication contraption on top of the AT&T Building behind the ball.

ugh

8th & Main can see its reflection on the Hall of Mirrors

Get over yourselves you canadian geese

Don't delete any, the photos are fine. This thread is a great resource to view photos of the construction--from the hole to the finished product.

Before this thread collects dust on the second page, a few comments about 8th & Main. Positive: the economic impact this building will have in DT Boise, the lobby, the retail, the increased foot traffic, the height, the SE corner design, the lighting, the impact on the skyline, the damn hole is filled. My only negative: the back side (north) of the building reminds me of the 20 story tower SLC tore down a few years ago. Kind of bland.

Anyway, not that my opinion matters, but thought I would share some thoughts from my visit. I grabbed some good grub while I was checking the place out. Til next time.

Sorry for the phone photo quality.

I thought the same.

Toyz: yes

Sawtooth: Flatbread. I enjoyed the 2nd story perch along Main Street with the floor to ceiling windows.

Also Sawtooth, thanks for your photo updates. I eat them up.

So jealous. I think San Antonio is the 7th biggest city in the country and decades behind Boise when it comes to downtown. Wish I could come home to the Northwest.

I know little to nothing about downtown San Antonio, can you expound on this?

Downtown Boise, Idaho

Spring in Boise...green grass, trees in bloom and snow on the mountains. Hope Key Bank just right of Zions Bank, and north of Chase Bank will put some windows on south side in their remodel. It seems the redo is inside.
Gardner Co should put a hotel they want on top of Capital Terrace building that a six floor addition for apts. were planned.
