Thanks for posting that photo Boisebro, I am really enjoying seeing these aerial photos of downtown. Our founding fathers did good with platting out the city with small walkable blocks rather then pedestrian killing, large and dreadful blocks. If they could see their city now.

Agreed. I only wish that the founders' successors had done what Portland did and extended the grid as the city grew. I get a bit sad when I have to navigate through suburban mazes within section line roads the further west and east I go.

Does anyone know if this building is going to utilize our geothermal energy? I believe the last count is over 55 buildings in downtown are hooked up to the system.

I see what they were doing, but it just looks kind of strange to me.

That being said I still love this building and am really happy it's getting built.

I agree.. The crown looks really bad with that grey. There are just too many schizophrenic colors already. Perhaps they will paint that white. They should have just left it with the same color of white if you ask me.

Pretty silly move if you ask me..

Hey folks, I'm a big fan of this page, especially since I currently live 2,000 miles away in Pennsylvania. I was wondering if someone would mind posting some pictures showing the current 8th & Main building from a distance? I was hoping something like Crescent Rim over Ann Morrison Park or even something from the other side, maybe at the top of Camel's Back or Table Rock? Any takers? Again, thanks for all the updates, posts and pictures. I feel like I've been watching this building first hand. Cheers!

Welcome Boise_Native. Whoever decides to take up your offer will probably have to wait a day or a few days because today the valley is socked in with smoke from forest fires and several range fires that ignited last night from lightening. The news says 13 new fires started in the Boise National Forest because of the storm last night

I have a few. I shot these back in June so they are a little out of date but I will be taking more soon for my summer thread.
