Altitude Montreal looks like complete garbage next to Icone. Altoria holds its own, IMO.

Roccabella is OK, but I could see that development being better suited to another lot (I'm thinking Rene-Levesque and Guy). I don't find it ugly, but they look more like apartments than condos.

Yeah Altitude was mucked up by its stubby annex of a phase 2.

As it stands now, the Marriott on Rene-Levesque remains the tallest of all the u/c - approved AND the nicest.

ICone looks great. The first renders had me somewhat worried, but this looks heaps better.

Kind of neat... I usually stay at the Quality Inn across the street when I visit Toronto. Not sure if it blends well with the neighborhood behind though.

That's one hell of an ugly church. They should just leveled it.

I actually find this to be quite an attractive old church. It has a very Scottish look to it. It could use some renovations and cleaning though (like the St. James in Montreal).

It's not bad if you want to keep the whole structure, but it's not worth the trouble if you're just going to keep the facade like on those renderings. Architecturally, St-James in in a whole other dimension...

Yeah, I know.

What I meant is that they should just get rid of it if they are going to keep just the facade. I still think it's not a pretty church, but that's just my opinion.

Hey when someone in Sherbrooke wants to build a simple house, does the city force him to build a dog house instead?
