Anyone know what happened with the Regional Official Plan (ROP) on June 16? This was the critical date...

There was an article in The Record today about the Countryside Line that hinted at the ROP, but never mentioned the ROP specifically...(article: Drawing a line in the countryside). I think this is yet another case of The Record mixing up terms again.

From that article:
Quote:
The latest regional plan, looking to 2029, calls for rapid transit and more compact neighbourhoods. It draws a countryside line around cities to restrain suburban growth.

Council endorsed the plan this week. It now goes to the province for final approval.
I can't interpret that as anything except council voting yes on the ROP. (And I believe that was the only reason for Council meeting this week.)

Once adopted Council will issue a Notice of Adoption within 15 days and the ROP will be provided to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for consideration.

Once the Ministry has received the ROP, they have 180 days to issue a notice of decision.
