Nice to see these small hotels in neighbourhoods like Mt Pleasant and Kits. Small-scale and more budget-friendly hotels are needed too.

2339 Main is bizarre. And I thought we were in a “housing crisis”? Why would they approve losing affordable rentals for a few oddly placed hotel rooms?

Hotels are a permitted use in the zone here. City Council approved new policy last year to help address Vancouver's hotel room shortage - so there's also a perceived "hotel rooms crisis".
