chef's kiss! simply amazing!!!

I think it is beautiful, along with the other towers on the site. It's about time Vancouver takes over the title of the tallest tower in the Pac NW not just the long held densest downtown.

I hope it gets built! Even though I'm usually bullish on Calgary and Edmonton due to their lower quality of life and lower costs, it's nice that Vancouver is getting a signature skyscraper of it's own! It's not going to be taller than anything in Toronto, but it's still nice that Vancouver gets a supertall of it's own. And the fact that Vancouver is expanding it's mass transit system is a huge plus! Let's hope this becomes a reality!

Rezoning has been approved. For those not familiar with Vancouver this is just the first step, the developer now needs to proceed with a Development Permit application.

During the city council proceedings it came up that NAV Canada, responsible for aircraft safety, may require the tallest building be reduced by 27 meters (88 feet). The developer will need to work with NAV Canada to see if other solutions can suffice without loosing the height.
The developer has said if height needs to be reduced hotel room floors will be removed and the observation deck levels will be retained.
