I believe the proposal is now rental rather than condo, with a considerable increase in the total number of apartments.

Around Young and Robie in Halifax there is a large site where the owner has created a proposal with a 52 storey tower:

Another land owner in this area wants to build a 33 storey tower. This is one of the major growth nodes in the municipality where there is a 40 storey tower under construction. I believe 40 is the max right now. Richmond Yards was built around here and is 30 storeys or so.

If built as proposed that would be the best looking residential building in Liberty Village by a decent margin (the new office buildings are nice though). 100 Liberty and the building School is in are a loss but I think the tradeoff is reasonable here.

If this was Toronto the proposal would be directly on top of the old church. Did a little research, that church was built in 1912, so for the region it's fairly young. It was built exactly how its seen in the render like a half church. At some point mid twentieth century it looks like they added onto the back side of it with an ugly addition. That will be where this tower will go if this actually moves forward. It's also right in a residential area just adjacent to the commercial area, a dead zone. If this did get built maybe it will act as a catalyst to fix up that area of the city. Right now it feels like an American Rustbelt town.

I find the church on the side to be pretty well integrated compared to what's typical. Great proposal overall. Too bad it's surrounded by parking, but hopefully that will be all gone within 10-20 years.

Seeing the existing church I don’t mind the integration anymore. This project looks great! Hopefully it gets built.

Roller coaster of proposals for 2026 Scott Street in Ottawa, about a block from Westboro Station.

Started with this really cool twin 41 floor tower design.

Earlier this year, it was severely downgraded to this 26 storey tower proposal (with three "future towers" along the rest of the site, 18 and 40 floors). Not a bad design, but on the plain side with a disappointing height, considering most other towers along Scott are 22 to 26 floors, with Minto Metropole standing above the rest at 33 floors.

And now we have this new proposal at 31 floors, with future 40 and 30 floor phases.

I agree. It looks neat. Usually I hate the ‘Toronto style’ but this one is well done. Nice project.

If they achieve this, it will be one of the country's best and quite an amazing feat for Vancouver.
