FYI in early June the NY Times did a survey of all the World Cup hosts average June hotel rates and compared game nights vs non game nights. In summary they found (in USD):
Non game nights - Vancouver $240, NYC $220, Boston $210, no other city was above 200, Seattle was $190.
Game nights - KC $390, Vancouver $320, NYC $310, no other city was above 300, Seattle was $240.
