I love "Existing Stairs" on one side and then "New Stairs" on the other.
It's like they built it and the city inspector said "Uhh this stair case doesn't meet fire code you have to build another set of stairs"

The units are spacious with good sized bedrooms but the price is horrendous for such a building.

The whole thing is just bizarre. They built a 6 story apartment on top of a historic 2 story home on a lot the size of a small acreage. The density makes no sense for this land. I can’t figure out wtf is going on with the interior spaces or where the additional staircase was added based on the singular photo in the listing. Is the new stair barnacle on the back? And what is in that VOID?

The entry way and windows on left appear to be the new stairwell going up the entire building. A small entry with stairs immediately straight and an elevator shaft aka "lift" to the right of the stairwell.
That's what it looks like to me, anyway, but I could be wrong

That isn't historic preservation, or even a reasonable facsimile of heritage, nothing is left of the original house, this looks like something Donald Trump would design.

Yes, I noticed that after, but it looks like nothing of the exterior was really preserved or incorporated as it could have been. The reason this could not be considered anything resembling authentic is that it mimics a Victorian (Second Empire) wood frame building, but such a wood frame building would never have been built at six stories. If you want actual authenticity there is plenty of it extant around this area; an actual apartment building from 1900 would not look like that, it would be masonry. The interiors are sort of 20th century Architectural Digest, dated, Trumpian, but that's a matter of personal taste. Does city council really think this is good design?

Was driving yesterday sans apple music and was listening to the radio when Rock Star by Nickelback came on. Might need to update this joke as they seem fond of quesadillas. Which they eat for free cause that’s the type of perk I guess you fantasize about growing up in Hanna AB. Along with having bodyguards to beat people up and having 15 cars.
