Guildford Mall & Rental tower at Maple Place | 10675 150 Street

Feels very random and out of place, but still a great start for Guildofd!
Tons of room for future developments!!!

I know there were tentative plans to build towers on the mall parking lots north of 104th shown in this pic (presumably the rec centre would get rebuilt as part of the deal). No idea if that's still on the books but i hope so.

I can foresee the neighbours have heart attacks over this development. A quick looks shows the 'tall' buildings in the area are only 3 storeys - 25 storeys will totally stand out (until other towers are built).

Hopefully the podium will calm their nerves a little bit. I've noticed when travelling around that a tower on it's own is way more noticeable than a tower with a podium base - I'm much more likely to notice the podium than I am the tower(s) sticking out of it.

Yah maybe but that area is also quite dense, even with row homes the row homes are absolutely stacked and many have coach houses. So it would be hard to argue density especially with SkyTrain coming which everyone knows you don't have farms next to SkyTrain.

You'll get grumblings about traffic but I don't think it will be too much tbh.
