I don't how it wouldn't affect this project. All their resources are probably tied-up at the Levels rebuild.

At least the approvals process doesn't have to be redone there, but construction will start from scratch. And there's probably also an insurance claims process to complete before they can get going again. Unless they move Horizons to the front of the list while they sort out Levels?

They also have a much larger multi-phase project at Wateridge in their pipeline:

Looking back in this thread, this photo makes it so clear how ridiculous it is that the land between Bell's Corners and Crystal Beach is not developed (or planned to be developed), complete with our main LRT line running through it. This is not the place for farmland and keeping it as such definitely does nothing to slow down Ottawa's sprawl. They could build some really cool neighbourhoods with great transit/nature/highway access!

Agreed. I'm all for preserving the Greenbelt, especially the sensitive natural areas, but these farms could be better utilized to take advantage of Line 3 and whatever we might end up doing with the Beachburg Sub. Scarifying these farms could save farms further out of the city in the long run.
