Very enjoyable thread. Interesting replies about just letting the old train station sit and "ruin". It got me thinking that we in North America seem to be afraid of ruins...we like to tear them down, and at the very least build a parking lot....and if you notice it is always done for "our safety".
I vote for letting Michigan Central age like a fine wine.
It will be a great tourist attraction if it isn't already.

It is a toursit attraction, just not a legal one.

An interesting article about outdoor/park space and bike messengers as a catalyst to helping revive urban areas.

If they continue with the plan to connect Riverfront towers to Belle Isle via a bike way/ greenway and get some more redevelopment going between Jefferson and the river that would be a good start.

detroit has some of the best nightlife, or at least agreeable to me, which i want to return for, for a thousand miles.

camp in northern michigan, and then drink in detroit! im not so sure a summer could improve.
