Chicago YIMBY just asked this same question a few weeks ago. From what I hear from the article, it seems like it may just be progressing slowly
https://chicagoyimby.com/2026/06/evergre...h-level-but-is-it-still-progressing.html

Comparing the pictures from Chicago YIMBY’s article to my photos, the only difference I notice is that the stairwell on the back is one floor taller. That’s not a lot of progress, but indicates that it is still progressing

I know nothing about this project, have tried to google it but haven’t been able to find results. It seems like the project may potentially be stalled as it looks exactly the same as streetview from 7 months ago. Anyone have any information on this project?

I am guessing though that the construction is stalled though

Our great drone captain Devodare posted a cool video of the Illinois Quantum Park construction progress, just a few days ago:

It's really happening!

Wow, its a lot further along than I thought. Hopefully it becomes the economic hub that Pritzker envisions.

EGP is really doing amazing now. To be honest it's happening so much faster than I thought. Dozens of 3 flats going up or permitted.

The day I see development jump to WGP though that will be something else

Some pics from yesterday of 750 W North Ave from the passenger window of a U-Haul lol.

Hard to tell from my crappy phone camera, but it's looking classy so far-- the fine-grain face brick appears to be the same size as the neighboring Yondorf Block and Hall (1887) and they've added some nice depth and detail. It's looking exactly like the website's rendering.

It's been fun to see the curved back wall of this building going up against the Brown Line tracks.

Edgewater Neighbors’ Lawsuit Against City Over Broadway Rezoning Dismissed
A group of property and business owners sued the city in January, saying their rights were violated. An appeal is “likely,” the group’s president said.

EDGEWATER — A judge dismissed a lawsuit against the city from a group of Edgewater neighbors and business owners who sued over the recent upzoning of Broadway in Edgewater and Uptown.

The lawsuit centered around a so-called upzoning, or a reclassification of an area’s zoning to allow for taller, denser buildings and permit additional business uses. A stretch of Broadway from Devon Avenue to Montrose Avenue was rezoned after the City Council approved the changes in October.

Edgewater Residents for Responsible Development, a group of property and business owners, sued the city in January, alleging the rezoning violated their due process rights as well as city and state rezoning requirements.

This is a good win.

Keep wasting your money, NIMBYs.

Lakewood-Balmoral people have loads of cash to burn.

always nice to see the Lakewood Balmoral set take the L but the damage has already been done to n Broadway, it's gonna take decades and multiple development cycles before all the new strip malls and surfaces lots are gone, especially the nightmare at Berwyn

I'm a bit more optimistic...... I think there's so much potential for the corridor from Uptown to Bryn Mawr. Public transit infrastructure is in place.... The Red Line stations just got a revamp.... and it's close to the lake.

I'm not familiar with what Uptown used to be like, but it's got such a unique vibe that separates it from neighborhoods to the North and South. Could also be because I have been going there more because of the Eagle that opened......lol.

It's crucial though that the Uptown Theater gets redone - If that happened - Uptown would be insanely amazing, and a great catalyst to really eliminate any open lots, etc.

The Broadway upzoning obviously won't make all of the shit-tacular strip malls and other autocentric garbage along the corridor dissappear overnight, but at least it's a nice reality-check middle finger to the L-B knuckleheabs that they do not in fact live in fucking Winnetka.

Chicago is a city.

Shut up and accept it.

Or move to actual fucking Winnetka.
