^It still ranks one of the funniest (accidentally) -ever commercials I have ever seen. That's guy's wincing face and the exaggerated way he said "Can I help You!", the inept "Jasper and Horace"-type would-be burglars, and the star of the show, Joe Matlin.

Everytime I saw that ad, I broke down laughing.

Alarmforce is listed on the TSX.

^On the subject of commercials, which I generally hate and avoid, one series I love is the Haribo gummy bears ads with adult actors dubbed by kid. Anyone else like those, or find them insufferable?

(sorry for digging up this old thread).

I'm embarrassed to say, I don't know who that is. I have a rather deep voice, but exactly whom it resembles aurally I have no idea. My sister and mom used to say I looked like Pete Sampras back when he was playing, but I see no resemblance at all. Funny how one doesn't really know how one looks or sounds unless one sees and hears oneself recorded, which I have not.

More current Gahan:

from Wiki-wiki

I watched the most recent film "M" which was mainly about their performances in Mexico City, and I felt damn old but don't look anywhere close to it as much as those two ("hard" lives they've lived notwithstanding)

^He looks good for his age. Affluence often helps. I'm embarrassed that I don't know more about the band.

I just remember you said you had German ancestry once and all I can picture is this guy in a German dance club. Yes, my mind works weirdly.

LOL, I've gotten pretty messy in that pub a few times in my late teens.

Screaming Viking, I take it you don't sound like DoFo?

Better than the nihilists from The Big Lebowski.

I tease my wife constantly about her German heritage.

Good memory, harls. I was born there, but have lived in Canada my whole life.

Say, help a feller out. I have a one-bar LTE connection that is just this side of totally useless. Combine that with this lumbering dinosaur of a site and I am sitting here pulling out my hair to browse, much less successfully reply. I have disabled sigs and avs. Is there any way to visit this place in lite mode or something? It is really not worth the aggravation.

Surprisingly so, given his past heroin addiction...you'd think he'd look more like Keith Richards.

John Lennon looked like he was 50 during his years (1968-70) of heroin addiction (when he was in his late 20s).
