Couldn't find any building permit or demolition permit on the city website for this proposal. Having said that both Drewlo and Auburn are busy with multiple buildings currently thru to 2027. Doesn't mean a Demolition contractor might not start by the end of this year followed by a Excavation and Foundation shoring contractor prior to Drewlo and Auburn construction crews moving to the site. Heck the city may finally actually finish the BRT work along Wellington in front of this site by the end of this year.

The only tenant still open it seems in the plaza building on this site is the Swiss Chalet. The White Oaks Mall thread mentioned that one of the new parking pad buildings was going to be the new site of the Swiss Chalet. Work on site prep has started for at least one of the new parking pad buildings.


Of note the other 2s commercial buildings on this site appear to still have some tenants. Would be interesting development if Drewlo and Auburn started demolition on the buildings on this site this year.
