I've not seen any updates on that other tower in DT Dartmouth (granted, it started construction). I wonder if it's still ongoing?

The 10 Edward St. (Old Tim Hortons) location? Or, is there another I am forgetting?

They have been working slowly to get the first bit of foundations in.

That's the one. The renderings didn't look great, but the overall massing was ideal for a downtown location.

Thanks for the info. As far as I see in previous updates via the photo takers, there was a crane installed, so glad to hear they are getting the foundation in.

My guess is this will rise pretty fast once its out of the hole and be fairly dramatic in the DT Dartmouth skyline proper.

Dartmouth is going to have two skylines, downtown and at the old bridge.

That sucks, as this site is idle as well. I believe it was a workplace accident?

Once Canada Post, and 10 Edward are up it'll help the lower skyline a lot. Queen Square has been lonely for a long time.

Don't count this project out. The Post just had it's grade alteration permit and some utilities permits issued last week. I drove past this site over the weekend. There was no obvious changes that I could see but I also didn't park due to how congested the parking was with Dartmouth Ice Festival.

And while work on The Post and Edward Street might be slow there is plenty going on in Downtown Dartmouth. The Kevel is now occupied so that is an extra 400+ residents just three blocks away.

Walking by yesterday, there were two cement trucks, so work is ongoing.

Also looking forward to the Ochterloney/Dundas/Queen build.

Interesting. Which one is that?

Dartmouth is on the cusp of turning into a crane city!

Lots of potential for development sites on all of Wyse and a good portion of Windmill.

Has its own thread: https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256275

Lots of good visuals there. Approved for 13 storeys but developer has asked for two more plus a penthouse level. Not sure where the process stands at the moment.

Just started a new job in Downtown Dartmouth this week and have walked past this project a few times on the way to work. Lots of activity again, but no crane yet.

A CMP is available for this now on HRM's website, the renderings look the same as before. It was revised in June, so hopefully full ahead now.

While the renderings may look the same, allNS reported this morning that the building will now include 214 units instead of 142. It will also have four more storeys, making it 30, albeit without increasing the building's height. This was achieved by widening the building and reducing storey height. Excavation for underground parking is supposed to start in August, with target building completion of Feb 2030.

Quotes in the story from the developer left me with the impression that the timelines are somewhat tentative and market-dependent. As Trump would say, we'll see what happens...

Umpteen pages of minutiae and boilerplate in the document required by HRM, but the only pic of the proposed 30-storey tower is this. I'm still trying to get my head around how a 30-floor building (apparently with 4 levels of underground parking, so lots of time and presumably blasting required for the big dig!) will look in this neighborhood.

I live nearby (a few blocks away) and think it'll look perfectly fine.
