Asked workers on site they said it should be done by the end of the month.
BTW, is it normal that the wood appears untreated?

It's likely all cedar that will just turn a natural grey. The NCC no longer allows pressure treated wood on their properties.

Just in time for winter! It's freakin cold out there this morning!

I like those big recliner areas. Sitting on the boardwalk at Zibi with those oversized benches is kind of novel. More comfortable than they look.

at this rate it’s finished, they just want to make the big reveal when the snow melts, as nobody is going to be using this spot during the winter time

I’d be curious as to the site’s safety measures. Will the location be fenced off during the winter months? Any fencing (or signs, for that matter) to prevent individuals from jumping into the water during warmer months? It seems like a nice idea with a low cost associated to it, but only good for sightseeing (and watching the fireworks) in the warmer months

Frankly, I'm amazed the people who camp just on the other side of the path behind the benches haven't dismantled or otherwise burned these benches already.

I'm confused. Is this thing somehow not complete? It's approaching the end of May.

F**king as* h*les! Why? Why tf do they need to do this? Waste of time and money ruining something for everybody else, then even more time and taxpayer money wasted to undo this bs.

It's cleaned now. Luckily the wood makes it easy with some sander tool.
